FAQs
- Q?Do you farm organically?
-
A.
No, the best way to describe our sheep and pig farming is ‘near organic’. We do not hold organic certification (complicated reasons!) but farm with a natural, low-input, low-intervention approach.
Our rubyVEAL, however, is raised organically and holds Soil Association certification.
- Q?How do I buy Pancake Farm produce?
-
A.
We sell all our produce ourselves: direct sales to pubs, restaurants and hotels, as well as farmgate sales to local residents. We will soon be taking a stall at the Cirencester Farmers Market too.
To order, simply send us an e-mail or pick up the phone.
- Q?What do you farm?
-
A.
Sheep are the main enterprise; our current Wiltshire Horn flock numbers about 150. From this we produce lamb, hogget and mutton.
We also raise Oxford Sandy and Black pigs, and have a joint venture with a neighbouring farm to produce naturally-reared, pasture-raised, milk-fed veal.
- Q?Where is Pancake Farm?
-
A.
We’re in Chedworth, a small village between Cirencester and Cheltenham, in the heart of the Cotswolds.
